Welcome!
Trio Masthead

Welcome to the TCU TRiO Programs Website. The information outlined here offers an overview of the three federal TRiO programs, Upward Bound, Ronald E. McNair, and Student Support Services which we operate on the Texas Christian University campus. The website provides you with information about the various academic supportive services offered, introduces you to our staff, allows students to complete necessary applications and other paperwork, and provides a calendar of the programs’ planned events and activities.

The Federally funded TRiO programs are educational outreach and enrichment programs designed to motivate and help students from disadvantaged backgrounds. TRiO programs assist low-income, disabled, or first-generation college students to advance their education beyond high school level.

And our goal is to encourage and assist individuals traditionally under-represented in post-secondary education because of income, family educational background, disability, or other relevant federal, state, provincial, or institutional criteria, in the preparation for, entry into, and completion of post-secondary education.

Come by for a visit, or just stop in to say hello. We encourage prospective students and their families to take a look at our programs and explore the services we provide. Whether you are a prospective student or a parent, we welcome you to look around and talk with us.

The TRiO Programs have played an important role in the TCU campus and the local community for more than three decades. We are proud to be a part of the TRiO and TCU families. Our offices are located in the academic wing of the Rickel Building.

Cordially,

J. Steven Hodnett
Director, TCU TRiO Programs
